Description
The Masseria (farmhouse) rises on a biological agricultural farm 5 Km from the centre of Ostuni. It is surrounded by 72 hectares of centuries-old olive grove which, still today, produces 5 different extra-virgin olive oils which we will proudly serve while explaining their different uses and characteristics.
The guests will be accommodated in 11 rooms, all of which have a private bathroom, and in an autonomous apartment consisting in a living room with a kitchen area, two rooms (a double and a triple) and two bathrooms.
All the rooms are extremely well kept and furnished with great charm.
The house has two gardens, sitting rooms and a library with 1500 ancient books, all at the complete disposal of our guests. It likewise has, for its guests, reservations for sunbeds and sun umbrellas on two different beaches, only 10 min away by car.
One of the farmhouse's most fascinating parts is its vast underground olive press which dates back to the 16th century. The olive oil was produced in this natural cave. Authenticity and familiarity are here characteristic as well as the unique and gracious atmosphere of complete relax. Aspects which will be greatly appreciated by all those who choose this farmhouse as base point in their exploration of the treasures Apulia has to offer.

Suggested excursions: Egnazia Museum in Savelletri (15 Km), the WWF nature reserve of Torre Guaceto, the thermal baths of Torre Canne (7 Km), Castellana Grotte; art and culture in the evocative Valle D'Istria (Martina Franca, Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo), the baroque Lecce (80 Km); the history of Federico II (Castel del Monte), the Castle of Barletta and the magnificent cathedral overlooking the sea in Trani.
The breathtaking terraces in the historical Polignano a Mare are only 20 minutes away and are not to be missed.

Ostuni station 7 Km away; the airport in Bari 80 Km away and the the Brindisi airport 40 Km away. From there by taxi.
ActivitiesMountain-bikes are completely free and at our guests' disposal and they may take them to explore the trail in the olive grove. Tour of the agricultural farm in a vintage car. Playground for children (ping-pong), hiking along the trail leading to the San Biagio hill (and tour of a Medieval rupestrian church). |
Food, wine and craftsFive different extra virgin olive oils are produced here as well as marmalades, "rosoli" (liquors. The olive leaves one is unique) and baked goods (salted and toasted sweet almonds, fried broad beans, almond biscuits, meringues). |
