Description

The country house is situated at the foot of Gargano's headland, at two km from the splendid see of Margherita di Savoia. The lodge is immersed in the quiet atmosphere of centuries old olive trees. There are 24 rooms imparted in two villas, each room with shower bathroom, air conditioning, bar, fridge, TV, verandah and patio. The interiors are in a sober and refined style, all the furniture is all-wood finished with ecological paint, respecting the surrounding nature.
The restaurant is made of a wide hall for feasts enjoying the lovely panorama of Castel del Monte and of two smaller rooms. There you'll have the opportunity to taste the many typical local dishes.
In our resort it is still possible to breathe this atmosphere of peace inspiring love for nature and for small pleasures of life.

Surroundings

Our house is in a strategic position to visit both north and south of the Puglia region.
In a range of two km there are Margherita di Savoia, a renown tourist and thermal centre, worldly appreciated for its physiological saline and for the protected humid area, shelter for many birds as rose flamingoes, herons and cranes, and the archaeological park of Trinitapoli, with its fantastic subterranean town.
Going a little farther you'll have a wide range of opportunities for day trips: to the huge Federician Castel Del Monte, to Trani, with its castle and Romanesque cathedral, Barletta, Father Pio's St. Giovanni Rotondo, the “Sassi” of Matera (where the film "The Passion" was played), Alberobello and the marvellous Castellana's Caves.

Activities

A strong point of our House is the area of sports, whic includes, in an invigorating atmosphere, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a pool for children, five-a-side field and eight-a-side field, a race track equipped with dressing room, play area for children. Moreover we organise swimming classes for children and adults, aqua gym and scuba classes.
In the immediate surroundings there are a bicycle path, a horse riding school, tennis courts, and it is possible to practice windsurf and bird watching.

Food, wine and crafts

The farm proposes to its guests typical local products as preserves, extra-virgin olive oil and wine to buy, as well as other products to buy in the surroundings.
In our restaurant it's possible to taste home made pastas, artichokes, turnip tops, mozzarellas, home made cakes, quince jam, mustard, etc.
