Description

The activity started in 1995 in a traditional farmhouse which still conserves its rustic flavour of the countryside, but today is provided with every type of comfort and service, in order to guarantee the high quality of its hospitality. Here it is possible to discover the values of an area that combines natural beauty, artistic treasures and historic centres, witnesses since Middle Ages of a great civilization. A civilization that today is promoted and enhanced by the alliance of tourism activities as culture, sport, thermal baths, trekking and eno-gastronomic tours.
The country house consists of seven independent apartments, complete with all services: small kitchen (with electric plates, sinks, microwave oven, fridge, utensils and accessories), T.V.-SAT, telephone, single heating. There are many services in common: common hall, swimming pool with water massage, traditional barbecue and rustic wood oven, wide garden with children games as well as a reserved parking for cars. Moreover, excursions on foot and by bicycle (to hire) are indicated. For those fond of country there is the possibility of participating in the agricultural activities of the farm. The guests are invited to try the farm’s products and the typical local dishes at our Osteria. All this and the politeness and hospitality of the owners you’ll agree that the Agritourism is the ideal solution for a completely relaxing holiday.

Surroundings

The Farm is situated in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, in the delicate skyline of the most typical Tusca hills, rich of numberless artistic, historic, naturalistic and eno-gastronomic possible itineraries. Within 3 km you find Montalcino, the land of the world famous wine Brunello, itineraries, 6 km to the splendid Sant Antimo Abbey, you may visit Siena, which is 40 km far, Montepulciano at 30km, the enchanting Pienza, only 20 km far. Nearby is sited The nice ancient thermal village of Bagno Vignoni. The National Park of Valle d'Orcia at the foot of Amiata Mount is part of the Unesco Heritage.

Activities

Guided tours of nearby vineyards and wine cellars, tasting of products (Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, oil, grappa, brandy and balsamic vinegar). Swimming, archery, mushroom picking. In Montalcino, only 3 km away, you may practice tennis and soccer.
Hiking and cycling (on the spot bicycles for rent) across indicated tracks. For those fond of the countryside life there is the possibility of participating in the agricultural activities of the farm.

Food, wine and crafts

The farm’s products, it is to say the famous wines Brunello and Rosso of Montalcino, extra-virgin top quality olive oil, Grappa of Brunello, Brandy and delicious balsamic vinegar) may be bought during the stay or delivered to your home address. You'll find the most typical local dishes at our restaurant, which is run by the family and the dishes are prepared carefully and according to traditional methods, chiefly with the products of the farm.
